Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis. Inflammation of the plantar fascia. The long band of fibers from bottom of heel bone to beginning of toes. Sharp pain when getting up in the morning. Sharp pain when getting up after sitting. Pain decreases after walk around but comes back more often later in the day.

Causes: Over use. Walking on hard surfaces (Bad floors). Simply from they way your feel and legs are made. Weight gain. Shoes you wear.

For me that means the floors at work, generally weak arches to start with, some weight gain the last few years, and the kids shoes I normally have to get are not designed for adult feet.

Prescription: wear tennis shoes with good support, take Aleve when it acts up, and do special stretches for the plantar fascia.

The sketchers I wear are ideal for my feet right now. She gave me a note to wear them at work.
