A Total Lack of Ambition

I got my basic to-do list done.

On the way home, the roommate stopped off to test drive a Ford Ranger.  The sales person called him to find out a good time.  We were there for about 5 minutes.  I know it doesn’t sound like long, but it was 5 minutes in which we were totally ignored by sales staff who were wandering around doing nothing much.  The last one walked right past us to go out the door and then stand there doing nothing.  We left after that.

Got home and I made my Sims Death house. It took half an hour to create all the people and the house.  It took them 5 minutes to kill themselves off.

Dinner was a can of ready to eat clam chowder, and an extra tin of clams, some diet butter, and some extra seasoning.  I ate while watching Vandred.  I love the show.

Then I stitched for two more episodes.  I had to get up and walk around because the only comfortable stitching spot in the living room is to sit on the floor at the coffee table.  But it totally kills my feet.

Now I’ve gotten ready for bed and plan to stitch another hour.

I did NOTHING from my to-do list.  Not one little thing.  Other than make the list.

Does making the list count???

40 Days of moving

Posted in Apartments, Books, Entertainment, Life with tags , , , , , , , , on April 11, 2011 by urbannight

I had a checklist for the weekend. I scheduled in my fun stuff as well as my packing stuff.

Yet now that it is Monday, and I look at my weekend check list, the only things checked off are the fun things.

I didn’t get much done. I did get a total of 6 boxes of books packed.

This did NOT make a dent in my book collection. Although one bookshelf IS starting to look a little bare.

So that means I’ll have to focus on it during the week. I have to be ready to move on to next weekend’s check list on Friday.

I may not have enough boxes. But at least I know a person who owns a book store. She is keeping book boxes for me. Which is perfect. The maximum sized box to pack books without becoming too heavy.

I am stronger than I look. I’m used to moving book boxes. But some people don’t realize just how heavy a box of paper can get. They use boxes a little too big and regret it.

I also was supposed to sort clothing. That was not touched. Books or clothes? What to do tonight? Clothes could be easier, but the tubs take up more room than the book boxes.

I go to help with the roommates moving on Friday. I’ll have a lot more boxes after that. It will be a good thing.

In the meantime, I’ll try to clean out my car so I can fill it with the boxes I have ready to go. That will free up some space for more box stacking later on.

I probably shouldn’t have watched seasons one and two of a cool anime show back to back all weekend. It wasn’t so bad on Saturday. I watched an episode, I packed a box. I watched an episode, I reorganized. I repeated that pattern for 6 boxes.

It was Sunday that got me. Over slept. Went for a long walk. Took a hot bath. Watched shows while eating lunch. Then alergies kicked in and I didn’t want to move the rest of the day.

I have to get a move on it. I have to stop worrying about getting to far ahead to early. The result was getting behind at the very start. I want it to be kept in balance.

31 Days of Halloween – Days Three and Four

Sunday:

I did not go to Case 39 after all.  I did watch Tomie.  Japanese horror based on a Manga.

Tomie was not as scary as I normally expect from Japanese horror.  But it did have the slightly slower pacing that you often see in Japanese films.  The start was a little weak but it got better.

Many live action films based on Manga are very campy.  This was not campy at all.  So I was pleased.  Campy funny is good.  Campy horror is bad.

Monday:

I did not get much done that was Halloween oriented.  I did bring two more Halloween items to work and I got the skeleton human and skeleton dog candle stands out and cleaned off the dresser top so I could get the dresser set up for Halloween.  I guess I did more than I thought.  I also got the black skull strobe light set up.

Short Shifting the Slumber Time

I feel like I need to sleep around the clock.  I have been shorting myself on sleep.  Not a good thing to do.

I spent the weekend past in my PJ’s sitting at the table working at one of my more insane projects.

This I spent 18 hours on it over Saturday and Sunday.  Monday I couldn’t stop and got in a few more hours.  After spending a couple hours trying to get my laptop set up to play anime so I could watch

English name is The Wallflower.   So by the time I got it running it was after 11:00 and I watched until 1:00 am.  Stitching.

Tuesday I did more stitching and watching shows.

Got in 24 hours stitching and don’t even have half of one pattern page on the project done.  The other one I’m working on has over 300 hours into it and not near half done.  This one has even more pages.

I may be insane.

Needless to say, I’ve been up until 1:00 am Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights.  Last night I did not work on any projects and went to bed at 11:30 pm.  This is my normal.

I still feel like crawling into bed and sleeping straight after work.  I probably would too.  Only I have to drive way out to West Omaha to see how a dog is going before the owners head out of town this weekend.  He’s been really sick and is just starting to get better.  I won’t be home until about 3 hours after work.

I want to go to bed.
