After I had a very bad day, I got home to treats in the mail.  I only ordered them the day before.  They arrived VERY fast. These came from the International Licorice shop in Lincoln Nebraska.

Soft licorice with a sweet and salty center. Medium Strong salty taste but sweeter than the fish. Good licorice flavor. Amazingly good.

Salmiak Rocks. Since this doesn't show a label. Delicious, Licorice with a slightly salty but sweet salmiak center. Not dusted on the outside with the extra salty coating.

Salty fish

Shaped like fish.  Very yummy, firm and chewy but not hard. Strong salt taste but it doesn’t overwhelm the licorice flavor.

Gas Station Candy

I was at the gas station a few days ago when saw this black licorice in a plain label bag.  It was a little more than I would normally spend but it looked really good.  So, on a whim, I bought it.

I didn’t open it that day.  The next afternoon, I was looking for a snack and nothing appealed to me.  Then I remembered it and found the bag.  It was amazingly good.  Far better than I expected.

I took a closer look at the bag and it did say  Finnska on the front.  I flipped the bag over and there was clearer confirmation on what I thought that meant.    Yes, it was indeed imported from Finland.  The Finish do amazing licorice.  In fact, Europe, in general, does better licorice.

It was a great find at a gas station.
